Filippo Sorcinelli is an Italian artist, perfumer, organist, and the founder of the eponymous niche fragrance house. Born in the Marche region of Italy, he has pursued a career at the intersection of art, music, and spirituality from its very beginning. In 2001, he established the LAVS atelier, specializing in the creation of liturgical vestments and sacred objects. His work in this field has included collaborations with the Vatican, most notably the design of liturgical vestments for Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis.
His fascination with fragrance ultimately led him to create his own perfume house, which quickly earned recognition as one of the most respected names in the world of niche perfumery. His debut fragrance, LAVS, achieved iconic status for its remarkably authentic evocation of a cathedral's atmosphere, capturing the solemn beauty of incense-filled liturgical ceremonies.
